Sorry about the last few weeks being a bit quiet… been really busy.. but I’ll talk all about that in another post..
Movie: Avengers (2012) –
I went down to the Movie theaters on the 2nd day that the new Avengers movie had been released, I had fairly high expectations for this movie, and I must say it lived up to those expectations. I’m happy to report that everything established in previous movies pays dividends in a big way. It’s not that anyone needs to see those other Avenger solo films before seeing this gem but it certainly adds depth and texture to this amazing product.
I have got to tell anyone who will listen that this is one of THE best adventure movies I’ve ever seen. There is only one word to really describe this movie; “AWESOME!”. One of the MANY things I loved was the tension and flat out conflict that arises between team members. It’s not a two dimensional “team wonderful that bands together to fight crime”. Most don’t like each other at fist and there is so much texture to be played. That is great because so many of these characters are larger than life. They have egos and the “heros” aren’t used to working with other people or even playing by the rules. Stark, Thor and Banner all work “the other side of the fence” so to speak. Check out IMDB, writing a proper review for this movie will do it no justice.
I urge everyone to see this movie, as you will all be mind blown!

Ok… so it wasn’t a real review.. Just me ranting on how good it is… This is usually a good indicator to go see it, because like always, I have good taste ;P
The Avengers is the best superhero movie (well, for me!). I want to watch it again, and again, and again.
I was surprised at how well Avengers tuned into that real comic book feel .. this one may be worth watching in more than once!
I went to see it..now I thought there was lot of yakking and not enough action.. but that is just me. I am hoping Battleship has some serious action which I love at 3d movie.

Battleship.. bit slow to get into, though if you watch long enough, it has some seriously wicked action, boats exploding, transformer-like things flying around, alien action… and much more..
Though Battleship has its fair share of corny one liners..
I would have to agree with you on the Avengers, I do like lots of action, and there is a fair bit of yakking, though at least it is funny and I still think its amazing, so many good quotes from that movie!!! I think that is what made the movie for me, along with the action and special effects it provided, I loved the flying aircraft ship thingy
